Terms and Conditions
- For business customers, prompt payment of invoices would be
appreciated within 14 days of the invoice date, and
paid directly into the account number on the invoice. Any supplied
hardware, software or other product remains the property of
JTElectronics until payment has been received in full.
- For home / personal customers,
payment is required at the time
of the service visit unless other payment terms have been previously
agreed. To avoid embarrassment, please feel free to discuss with the
service technician prior to the commencement of work.

We are not a bank, and take debt recovery seriously. Late
Payment of invoices may incur an additional late payment fee of
15% of the original invoice total. If we deem it necessary to
recover debt either by private debt recovery companies, or by
the NZ Legal System, you may be responsible for paying any fees,
commissions or other costs we may incur in recovering the debt.
- While extreme care is taken to avoid the possibility of data
loss or corruption, it is ultimately up to you "the customer" to
ensure your computer systems are backed up (and the backups are
regularly tested!). We are happy to advise you on proper backup
devices and procedures to ensure data protection. JTElectronics
cannot be held responsible for data corruption either before, during
or after repair work has been carried out.
- Like most technicians, we work on the assumption that all
computer users make regular back-ups of software and documents.
Although we will take reasonable care of your data, when servicing a
computer system there is normally a small risk of data loss caused
by hardware failure or other means - we strongly recommend a full
backup of important data before the attendance of any technician.
During a data restoration or reinstallation we will attempt to
restore up files in standard document folders only, unless you tell
us otherwise. During a computer system health check is it standard
practice to empty or delete folders generally used for temporary
file storage and to empty the recycle bin. We do not
recommend you store important files in these types of locations.
By booking a service appointment, you accept this risk and agree
that our liability will be limited, at most, to a reasonable attempt
to restore your data from your most recent successful backup.
- In the unlikely event of business interruption due to work being
carried out, JTElectronics cannot be held responsible for loss of
business revenue or other consequence to you, the customer, as a
result of this work. Due to the extremely complicated nature of
computer systems, you further agree to indemnify and hold harmless
JTElectronics for any and all hardware or software malfunctions or
accidents that may occur before, during or after work is performed
on your computer, communications, or other electronics systems, and for any results
thereof.
